In the middle of all your summer responsibilities and activities, stop a moment to reflect on the goodness of God and offer worship to the Lord. Take a praise break.
Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:3
God as Creator
The color of the sky, the song of the birds, or the array of flowers reflect God’s artistry. Ripening fields of wheat and backyard gardens show bounty. Notice the the beauty and artistry of creation.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1
God as Redeemer
Recall what God has done for our redemption from sin through Jesus Christ. Worship Him for new and living hope!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
God as Sustainer
Even on the worst day, when the humidity and heat feel suffocating to the spirit, the Lord is worthy of praise. He sustains me when I’m tempted to give up.
Why so downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me: Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 42:5
The result? Praise changes our focus when we are in midst of struggle, becoming a sacrifice. Sacrifice costs us when we don’t want to do it. We have to lay down our pride and think less of ourselves and think more God.
Through Jesus, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. Hebrews 13:15
Praise restores perspective in life, reminding us of our purpose and God’s presence.
I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. Psalm 86:12
Pause and offer summer praise to the Lord for all He is—the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer.
