Hope vanishes when we face pain and loss. We face grief at the death of a loved one or loss after a the end of a relationship, like a divorce. Unmet expectations create broken dreams and intangible losses. Losses impact mental health. Each of us has to navigate the hard places of life and make a choice on how we come through those experiences the shatter our lives.

Rita Shulte she shared her struggle toward hope after her husband’s suicide. She encourages us to keep in mind that there is a bigger picture of the pain in our lives. Jesus intercedes for us as we go through the valleys of trials. As we come out on the other side of the struggle, God’s heart for us is to turn back and strengthen others in their struggle. The story isn’t finished for us; God can use the most painful experiences to minister his grace and comfort to help others.
