God's heart in the clouds with psalm 108.4

Driving on the Interstate, I caught of glimpse of love in the clouds. Can you see the heart? It reminded me of the extent of the love in God’s heart, which is higher than the heavens.

These verses tell of His love:

  • “The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion.” Numbers 14:18
  • “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is the His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us.” Psalm 103:11-12
  • “God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:8-9

Love radiates through all aspects of God’s HEART.

Here are attributes of God’s heart and the Bible verses that show the characteristic:

God’s H.E.A.R.T. is

Holy. God is described as “majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders ” in Exodus 15:11

Everlasting. He is eternal. “But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him.” Psalm 103:17

Awesome. This word is used 46 times to describe God. “How awesome is the the Lord Most High.” Psalm 47:2

Righteous. Righteousness belongs only to God. This characteristic is expressed prominently in many scriptures. He does only the things that are right and blameless, setting the standard for behavior. Because of His standards, He judges evil. God’s justice flows out of his righteousness. “God is a righteous judge.” Psalm 7:11 The Gospel reveals God’s righteousness through Jesus.

True. “But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King.” Jeremiah 10:10

Isn’t it amazing that God’s grace would extend His heart to us? (Click to tweet.)

Take a moment to give praise for the deep love of God’s heart shown in the life of Jesus.
