The irritating error message popped onto my computer screen.
I thought I had entered the correct password, but evidently something was wrong.
I re-entered a new combination of letters and numbers.
Access denied again.
My fingers pounded the keyboard with a different configuration for the password.
Finally I got into the online account.
I dislike being denied access. Frustration grows when I can’t get into the place I want to enter. I like full access.
Jesus Christ made a way for us to have full access to God the Father.
Because of the sacrifice through Jesus’ life, death, and the victory of the resurrection, we can have relationship with God.
- We have peace with God. God is able to bridge the gap between His heart and ours.
We are not longer estranged from the Creator. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Ephesians 2:17-18
- We are reconnected to God through the blood of Christ. The pure sacrifice of the Lamb of God allows us entry into God’s presence without fear.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13
- We can approach God with freedom and confidence through prayer, receiving mercy and grace in our time of need.
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
- We have access by faith into the grace of God.
By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise. Romans 5:1-2 MSG
Each of us can have full access to a relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ without a unique password. We have the privilege to draw near to God because He loved us through the cross.
Will you accept this gift of full access?
