Spring has struggled to appear this year.
From Groundhog’s Day forward we have anticipated the end of winter, but the yoyo weather kept us guessing when the change will stay.
Occasionally there’s a day when the sun warms the earth and early flowers sprout.
But another day brings cold wind, freezing the new life.
In spite of the lingering cold and snow, winter fades; spring creeps How true this is for our daily lives. We wait for something better, but often things get worse. We wait, like a flower under the snow. We wait for redemption.
In this ever-changing world, the Lord is faithful even in the darkest days. The good news is that new life cannot be restrained when it is in God’s time.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
That’s what happened for our redemption. At just the right time, Christ died. Sin and evil thought they had won. The disciples’ hope vanished; they didn’t know what to expect.
And then…
Resurrection morning broke through the clouds. New hope and forgiveness for sin spread throughout the earth.
Turn to the One who is faithful to bring about redemption for you.
His name is Jesus, our Risen Redeemer who conquered sin and gives us hope.
“Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefits–who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit. (Psalm 103:4)
Let’s pray…
Lord, I pray for the person who is waiting for redemption, that they may look to You for hope and forgiveness. I pray for the one who is seeking You, that they may find You and walk in new life. Thank you that in You, we are redeemed, forgiven and made new. Amen.
