Seeing Grace Everyday

Birthday Blessings! Book GiveAway!

Birthday Blessings

The last few days have been full of birthday blessings.

Our family was altogether over Easter weekend and to celebrate my birthday. Great fun with the little grandsons decorations cookies, coloring eggs and finding the eggs in the yard. A huge joy having everyone together to worship and celebrate.

birthday

Monday night my sweet hubby planned a surprise party for me at a local restaurant. I thought I was going to eat with a friend and her daughter after her piano lesson, so I took my time to give her a longer lesson. Finally my friend said, “Ladies, I’m hungry. Let’s go eat!” So off we went. Then there were all the red lights and traffic it took longer to go across town. I wasn’t in a hurry, but from what I hear, my hubby was getting nervous.

I was truly surprised to walk into the room full of people from many aspects of my life. I felt very loved–a great way to start a new decade!

The week has also included lunch out a few times, plus precious times with my Bible study group and my writer’s critique group.

This morning I had the tune of “Count Your Many Blessings” in my heart. It was good to reflect on the blessings on my life–family, friends, church family, and the love of God that never ends. I am thankful to celebrate the release of my first book The Grace Impact next week. I’ll get back writing blog posts about the book soon–I’m busy celebrating this week, too. My heart is full. Thank you, Lord.

Today when I opened my Bible for my quiet time, my eyes fell on Proverbs 16:31.

Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.

God certainly has a sense of humor to show that verse to me on my birthday. But I have something to confess–last week I got rid of the gray hair with my hair stylist. Hmm…
